Mill Town 48 Family Roots

Originally known as Bad to the Bone Sauce at family gatherings, this ‘good-on-anything’ recipe was created by Mark’s Dad and Mom - Hershel and Dianne - lovingly known as Grandaddy and NannyMaw. For more than 45 years, they shared this secret sauce with family and friends, spreading joy one meal at a time. Today, we’re proud to carry on their tradition and share the flavor with you.

Mill Town 48 is more than just a sauce - it’s a tribute to our community and the generations who worked at the Canton Paper Mill for over 108 years. The name honors our roots in Mill Town, and the number 48 celebrates 1948, the year Mark’s Dad, Hershel was born - a year forever cherished by our family. Every bottle carries with it a taste of tradition, family, and hometown pride.
